« B »: The initial of the House « 13 »: The number of an exceptional year, marked by particular climatic conditions and a late harvest. « B13 »: The name given to the latest exceptional Bollinger cuvée, 100% Pinot Noir, Vintage 2013, in limited edition, designed by Partisan du Sens. « B13 » It’s also the meeting of a creative philosophy and common values that Bollinger and Partisan du Sens were able to share around a global design work: "B13" identity, packaging creation, window display and visual territory.

A global artistic direction based on eco-responsibility, around the purity of the wine and the land, echoing the terroir approach and the sustainable practices of the house. For this creative 2022 harvest, we invite you to the heart of the B13 story...


A DUAL-TEMPO IDENTITY

It’s in simplicity and obviousness that the name and associated emblem of "B13" emerged, thanks to a two-step reading.

Inspired by the "B" of the house, the entire letter breaks down when the packaging is opened to reveal the 13. A very proprietary and pure identity where the B of Bollinger and the vintage's year become one.

This identity is enhanced by the contrast of white and black, echoing the snow and frost so characteristic of 2013 and the Pinot Noir grape variety. The box thus offers a precise play of lines, subtly evoking the rows of vines and the chiseled profile of the wine. The play of texture also embodies the complementarity of the different notes of the vintage.


360° PURITY

With purity, excellence and sustainable commitment as creative guidelines, Bollinger and Partisan du Sens continued to write the "B13" story by creating and producing the visuals and the associated window display.

Echoing the identity and packaging work, the agency imagined a scenography for the visual communication, created by an Art Paper artist, halfway between abstraction and figurative, expressing with elegance and simplicity the rows of vines and the hilly territory of the Reims Mountain. The subtle tone-on-tone effects highlight the bottle and the characteristic identity of the cuvée. The story is also told through the creation of a "box in the box" window display that play on a pop-up effect to bring contrast and relief to the final design.


SUSTAINABILITY AT THE HEART OF CREATION

In a sensitive and voluntary approach, the B13 vintage is presented in an eco-designed packaging. This is why, before any creation, the agency anticipated the stages of the product's life in order to highlight the key points that would minimize the environmental impact.

By using eco-responsible materials, only embossing finishes and minimizing anchoring (without hot stamping), the agency has created a 100% recyclable packaging made of recycled materials mostly. The molded cardboard wedge allows the box to be recycled without separating its parts. Finally, production was made in France in order to reduce the carbon impact generated by transport.

Partisan du Sens supported Bollinger throughout the technical development of the project, from sourcing ecological materials to finding sustainable suppliers.
